For those of you who attended all the rehearsals this week – thanks so much! You have been working hard, and I really appreciate it. You guys rock!
For those who have missed rehearsals this week for any reason: remember – our performance is less than a month away. I really need everyone to be at every rehearsal from this point. Things are not going to be getting easier – only harder. I expect you all to live up to your commitment to this play, no matter your role. When any of you aren’t there – it affects the others in the cast.
For those of you who have been coming, but not working on your lines, you must learn your lines and the lines of the other people. We had several times this week where people couldn’t save a scene because they didn’t know what was happening in the scene. You have to be able to trust each other! If you aren’t learning your lines, your castmates won’t trust you onstage.
I appreciate all of the time and effort that all of you have given to this project, and I know that most of you feel like you are a part of something special – and you are. You are doing something that none of your friends or colleagues have ever done: performing in a Shakespearean play in the English language. It is a pretty big deal, I think. Let’s make it the best possible play that we can!
This weekend’s schedule:
Saturday • April 3 • Asshead and fairy wing building at Nathan’s house.
Who is called: Bottom, fairies, Titania (Oberon can come too, if is free, to work on lines with Titania) – from 11:00 AM until 1:00
Sunday • April 4 • The Lovers at QSI School • 2:30 – 4:00
Remember, everyone is called to all three rehearsals next week.
Tuesday • April 6 • Intermission to end of play
Wednesday • April 7 • FULL RUN OF PLAY
Thursday • April 8 • to be announced, but everyone plan on being there
Everyone do your best to arrive on time. We’ve been having to start rehearsals late, and this means we stay late. It’s not fair to those who come on time. Next week, I will be reintroducing the 100 tenge late fee.
Finally, I know many of you are tired. I guarantee that nobody is more tired than I am. However, let’s press on to the end. We can have a fantastic show if we all work 100% to April 23!
